Program

Description

Emergency Food Assistance

Food boxes that include nutritious fresh, frozen, canned goods and personal care products are provided to low-income residents or those in emergency situations. Clients may also receive bread weekly based upon availability.

Firewood

Firewood is provided to qualified residents to assist with home heating. Clients may receive one half cord of wood per household each year.

Energy Assistance

HOPE works with the Clatskanie PUD to help clients with energy assistance through the Share the Warmth Program.

Brown Bag Program

Open to low-income seniors, families and individuals. For an annual fee of $12.00, members receive supplemental food on a monthly basis making their food dollars go further. Brown Bags typically include canned meats or fish, soups, cereals, canned meals, vegetables, fresh fruit, pasta, peanut butter and bread.

Back to School

From kindergarten through high school, low-income students are provided with a backpack and school supplies.

Backpack Program

Qualifying grade school students receive food for the weekends.

Holiday Baskets

Christmas baskets that include all the elements of a holiday meal are provided to qualifying families. Christmas baskets are provided in addition to the regular monthly food provided to clients.

Referrals

Clients in need of services not provided by HOPE are referred to other agencies.
